Mary Hoover

HOOVER, Mary B., 93, of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at the home of her daughter Sue Ann Putich of Weirton after a brief illness.

Mrs. Hoover had been a resident of Woodlawn Estates for the past 63 years. She was among the first families to live there.

She was active in many things. She was an active gardener and received many accolades for her flowers and arrangements. While living there she was also a life long member of the Rebekah Lodge 42 of Colliers where she served as an inside guardian. She was a beloved neighbor and friend.

Mrs. Hoover married Everette L. Hoover of Tyler County in 1934. Mr. Hoover preceded her in death in 1982. Out of that union two children were born, Sue Ann (William) Putich of Weirton and Edwin Hoover deceased in 2007.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Hattie Anderson Martin.

Mrs. Hoover was blessed with two granddaughters; Jennifer (Michael) Krupa of Brunswick, OH, and Jann (Patrick) Donohue of Cranberry Township, PA. Four great-granddaughters, whom she adored, Colleen Krupa and Cassidy Krupa, of Brunswick, OH, Amanda and Lindsay Mary Donohue, of Cranberry Township, PA. In addition she is survived by her great-grandniece, Linda (John) Miller. She leaves behind her beloved cat, Kitty, who gave her great joy.

Grave side services will be held Thursday 1 p.m. at Beechwood Cemetery, Alma, WV, with Pastor Louise Baker officiating. Tammy Glover will sing hymns.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice, 10686 State Route 150, Rayland, OH, 43943.
