BERNARDINO, Carlos W., was born at home in Lockland, Ohio, on July 3, 1939.
He was the second of three sons of Arnetta and Jaime W. Bernardino.
Carlos played basketball and football at Lockland Wayne High School and graduated from Wilberforce University. He taught science at Weir Middle School in Weirton, W.Va., where he also coached baseball, football and track.

He leaves behind his daughters Carla (Kenneth Mundy) Bernardino; Cathy (Terry) Bailey; granddaughter Simone Bailey; grandson Terry Bailey Jr.; brother Lowell W. (Valerie) Bernardino; nephews Christopher (Ewald) and Michael Bernardino; great-niece Sarah Bernardino; and dear cousins Brandal Evans and Debbie Evans.
Friends will be received at the Thompson, Hall & Jordan Funeral Home, 11400 Winton Road, Forest Park, OH 45240 on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, from 11 a.m. to noon with a memorial following.
