Winners of the best of gaming awards are selected by voting by subscribers.
Mountaineer is receiving awards from the publication for the Woodview golf course, the Spa at Mountaineer, the pool, Players Club, promotions and reel slots.

PROMOTED: Toronto native Kenneth R. Cope has been named chief operating officer at Matrix Absence Management Inc., a leading integrator of insurance and absence management services.
In his new position, Cope will oversee Matrix's integrated claims, leave of absences, workers' compensation and medical unit operations nationally, reporting to Matrix President Ivars Zvirbulis. As COO, Cope will be tasked with maximizing both operational performance and organizational efficiency.
Cope brings with him more than 17 years of directly related industry experience with Aon Hewitt and and Kemper National Services/Broadspire. He also served in the U.S. Navy for four years, earning his bachelor of science degree and his master's degree from the University of Phoenix.
Cope, who had been living in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., will be working from the company's flagship claims hub in Phoenix.
PROMOTED: Marlana Haynes is now director of student access/admissions in the admissions department at Eastern Gateway Community College.
In her new position, Haynes is responsible for the recruitment and admissions/career counseling of potential students. The department also is responsible for advising new students and undecided students. Haynes will oversee the admissions process for all students.
Haynes, a Steubenville resident, served for a year as interim admissions director as well as recruitment coordinator. She served as a recruiter/admissions adviser.
Haynes earned a bachelor of science degree in psychology at Bethany College and an associate of arts degree from Eastern Gateway. Her memberships and certifications include the Ohio Association of Two-Year College Admissions Officers, Ohio Association of Admissions Officers, Ohio Association of Community Colleges, Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program and National Association of College Admissions Advisers.
