KRAEER, Raymond M. "Duke," 76, of Steubenville, OH, passed away Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, at Trinity West after a lengthy illness.

He was born Aug. 30, 1935, a son of the late Ray S. and Gladys Maple Kraeer.

Duke was preceded in death by his wife, Betty June; daughter, Teresa Lynn Felts and son-in-law, Steve Malito.

Duke served in the U.S. Army and retired from Weirton Steel as an electrician. He was a member of Pilgrim Masonic Lodge 691, American Legion Argonne Post 33 and was an avid fan of Big Red football.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; three daughters, Judy (John) Metcalf of Webb City, MO, Kelly Malito of Houston, TX, and Pam (Paul) Ricci of Columbus, OH; stepdaughter, Lisa Anderson of Atlanta, GA; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and five cousins.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Imre Gulyas officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), 520 8th Ave, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10018, or Steubenville High School Athletic Department, P.O. Box 189, Steubenville, OH 43952.
