SISTILLI, Anthony G. "Tony", 66, of Weirton, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2012 in the Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville, OH.
Born September 12, 1945 in Steubenville, he was a son of Mary Adams Sistilli of Follansbee, WV and the late Anthony J. "Keyhole" Sistilli.
With 43 years of service, Mr. Sistilli retired from the Koppers Plant in Follansbee where he worked as an electrical engineer. He was an active member and worker of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, where he served as Eucharistic Minister and served communion to nursing homes and hospitals.
He was the current President of the St. Paul Holy Name Society. Tony also was an umpire for the WV/OH Baseball Association and volleyball referee for the middle schools in West Virginia. He also served as a director for a 20 member Spring Hills Golf League.
Mr. Sistilli is survived by his wife of 17 years, Barbara Nesbitt Sistilli; son, Anthony A. Sistilli, and his wife, Ada, of Weirton; daughter, Tawnya Sistilli, of Wheeling, WV; brother, Fred Sistilli, and his wife, Cathy, of Follansbee; sisters, Patti Retton, and her husband, John, of Follansbee, and Donna Cox and her husband, Rich, of Winfield, WV; step-sons, Mark Thomas, and his wife, Kathy, of Biloxi, MS, and Mike Thomas of Weirton; step daughters, Lorrie Kelly, and her husband, Garth, of Virginia Beach, VA, and Lisa Shubat and her husband, Bill, of Bellaire, OH; granddaughter, Sofia Sistilli; step-grandchildren, Richie, Mallory, Jordan, Taylor and Riley Jo and step great-grandchildren, Abbie and Cooper.
Visitation will be held Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Father Larry Dorsch officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
