Patriotic rosary

set for Sept. 11

St. Joseph the Worker's Rosary Group invites the community to its second "Patriotic Rosary" planned for 7 p.m. Sept. 11.

"Take time to join others to pray for our country and hear words by our forefathers regarding freedom. Each state and its citizens are prayed for individually," an event spokesperson said.

Between decades, singer Colleen Mindzak of St. Joseph's will lead patriotic music, with accompaniment by singer and organist Jeff Davis of Sacred Heart in Chester.

Fellowship with light refreshments will be served immediately following prayer. All are invited. There is no charge.

Guest speaker for

lock-in announced

Pastor Ruth Winfield will be the guest speaker for the First Baptist "One Night with the King" Women's Lock-In next weekend.

The service will be held at the church at 10 p.m. Sept. 7 through 6 a.m. Sept. 8.

Each woman is asked to register with a $5 donation at 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 7.

A native of Weirton, Winifred resides in Greensboro, N.C. She is the pastor and co-founder of Worship & Deliverance "Life-Builders" Christian Church and is the CEO and organizer of Women of Wisdom Cafe.

She is the mother of two sons and has four grandchildren.

Rosemont Chapel

to host dinner

Rosemont Chapel will host a spaghetti dinner from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 8.

The menu will include spaghetti, salad, bread, drink and a dessert. Cost is $6 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12.

Patrons can dine in or get takeout by calling (740) 282-9128.

The chapel is located at the corner of Goulds Road and Williams Boulevard.

Missionary to

present services

Mark A. Hoobler, a missionary to Africa and a minister of the gospel, will be the guest speaker Sunday at Port Homer Community Church's 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. services.

The church is located on county Road 68, Toronto.

Both services are open to the public.

Christian Coffee House for Women

The Christian Coffee House for Women will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Marland Heights Community Church located at 3900 Brightway, Weirton.

The evening is sponsored by Cup of Life Ministries with Tina Schoolcraft as the Bible teacher.

There will be a complimentary coffee/beverage bar and desserts with free childcare available for children age pre-kindergarten to fifth grade.

Advance registration for children is recommended.

Stull Family Singers to perform

Calvary Full Gospel Assembly, located at 156 Woodmont Ave., Steubenville, in Pottery Addition, will host the Stull Family Singers at 10 a.m. Sept. 9.

"There will be singing Holy Ghost-filled music followed by a spirit-filled message by Bud Stull, who had died and came back to life," according to news release information.

A dinner will be served following the message. The public is invited to attend.

The service and meal are free.
