HUMES, Dorothy J., 95, of Steubenville, Ohio died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at Country Club Manor.
She was born Aug. 16, 1917, in New Alexandria, Ohio, a daughter of the late Floyd and Bertha McCann Miller. Dorothy was a member of Finley U.M. Church and Cedar Twig. Dorothy was an avid bowler, golfer and boater.
Preceding her in death were her husband William R. Humes; son Richard G. Humes; daughter Nancy Paris; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother Rev. William Miller; and sister Lois Felton.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter Donna (Gil) Collins of Steubenville; son Charles (Kae) Humes of Mingo Junction; eight grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and several great- great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Sunday from 1:30 until the time of services at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Ernst officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery.
