WEIRTON - The Literary Department of the Weirton Woman's Club, a General Federation of Women's Clubs of West Virginia member, recently met for their final meeting and installation of new officers.
Chair Sharon Neeley welcomed members and guest, Rik Rekowski, Mary H. Weir Public Library director.
Billie Dietz gave the inspiration, and Diana Durst led the members in the Pledge of Allegiance and "God Bless America." Durst also gave the Literary Light and reviewed two books, "Home in Time for Christmas" by Heather Graham and "Against the Wind" by Bodie and Brock Thoene.

Book Review Chair Sandra Robbins reported on the Book Review Luncheon and stated that 123 were in attendance to hear Nancy Ellen O'Leary review the novel, "Ball of Fire: The Tumultuous Life and Comic Art of Lucille Ball" by Stephan Kanfer.
Neeley presented Rik Rekowski with a check for the annual basket raffle. Education Chair Chris Fair discussed her program Letters About Literature. Sharon Neeley then performed the installation of officers with a book and flower theme.
Those installed included Chair Diana Durst, Vice Chair Enid Williams, Secretary Helen Gibson, Treasurer Molly Mossor and Financial Secretary Carol Village.
Before turning the gavel over to the new chair, Neeley passed out gifts to her officers and committee chairman.
