A man was transported by ambulance to Weirton Medical Center after his vehicle veered off U.S. Route 22 between the Main Street Weirton and Harmon Creek exits and overturned at about 12:50 p.m. Tuesday. The Brooke County Sheriff’s Department and several area police and emergency departments were called to the scene. No other details were available early today. -- Linda Harris
