FLORENCE, Pa. - The 24th annual Hanover-McClurg Covered Bridge Festival will be held Sept. 15-16 at the Hanover Community Park located on Old Steubenville Pike.
The festival is part of the larger 42nd annual Washington and Greene Counties Covered Bridge Festival.
Entertainment includes strolling magician Jim Tate, noon Sept. 15; vocalist Ron King, 12:45 p.m. Sept. 15; vocalist and keyboardist Ed Riccadonna, 3:30 p.m. Sept. 15; gospel singer Brent Kimball, 12:30 p.m. Sept. 16; magic show with Jim Tate, 1:30 p.m. Sept. 16; and The Donohues, 3:30 p.m. Sept. 16. Rainbow the Clown will be on site both days. The Stritzinger family will be displaying their antique buggies and sleighs, and there will be a children's game court available. The Harmon Creek Community Church will lead a worship service at 10 a.m. Sept. 16
Event Chair Patty Rhoades is still accepting craft vendors. Vendors already booked include Ann Scott of Baden, Pa., purses, accessories and freeze-dried food; Jenn Bertha, Tastefully Simple; Fryes Home American Products; Wood and Seasonal by Evie; Gillette Family Wood Cutouts; Karen Stevens, crafts; Angie Rankin, jewelry and Doggie Doo-Dads pet products; and Betty Shaffer, Seasonal and Fall Everlastings, wood accessory letters and decor.
Food vendors include Tony's Pie Shop; Rachel's Sweet Shoppe; Coffee Latte and More; Peroghi; Burgettstown Grange, funnel cake and apple dumplings; Boy Scouts, barbecue chicken and fries; Victory Life Church, hot dogs, chili dogs, nachos and cabbage and noodles; Buckey's Smoke House, soup and sandwiches; and Hanover Park Board, oriental food and beverages.
