EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio - The Tri-State Free Methodist Campgroup will host its third annual Fall Harvest weekend event Sept. 21-23 at the facilities located at 1027 Anderson Boulevard.

Members at the 14 area Free Methodist churches in West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio are invited to attend the camp.

The Rev. Steve Forsythe of the First Free Methodist Church in East Liverpool will give a three-part sermon, "The New Normal," at 7 p.m. Sept. 21 and 22 and 10:40 a.m. Sept. 23 at the First Free Methodist located at 16260 St. Clair Ave. The public is invited to attend.

A cookout and covered-dish picnic, featuring the second annual Crock Pot Cook-Off will be held at 2 p.m. Sept. 22 on the camp's front patio. First-, second- and third-place prizes will be awarded to those entries receiving the most votes. A pumpkin-carving activity and children's games will immediately follow the picnic. Parents and guardians who permit their children to participate should bring the appropriate number of pumpkins and carving tools and be available for supervision. A corn hole contest and volleyball and basketball games will be available for teens and adults.

"The Mighty Macs," the true story of the 1971-1972 Immaculata College girls basketball team that began the season in obscurity, but became a Cinderella story, will be shown at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 22 at the tabernacle.

Following the Sept. 22 evening service, a hayride and bonfire, weather permitting, will be held.

Those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets.
