And now for some random thoughts...

My mind is flooded with so much right now, I can't sort it all out. So here are some of those thoughts.

Cleaning

I very much dislike cleaning. Ask anyone who knows me. Sure, my house is spotless for a party or gathering, but on any given day, not so much.

I am allergic to dust, and so dusting makes me sneeze. I HATE to vaccum. I hate to vaccum so much so that when my brother and I had chores growing up, I always volunteered to do the dusting so I won't have to touch the sweeper.

My dishwasher is out of commission so I have to hand wash all my dishes right now. Sigh.

Another thing I dislike. It seems like I just finish washing every dish in the house, and the sink is full again 10 minutes later. How does that happen?

Ironing

Another thing I don't like to do and do very little ironing. Wrinkles? Pants are going to get wrinkled from riding in the car to get where I need to go anyway, so why bother.

When I lived with my grandmother, she would make me take my pants off before I left the house so she could iron them.

The other day I got my ironing board out to iron some curtains before I put them up. My husband thought for sure that our 3-year-old was going to ask what that was.

Road construction

Could there be any more construction and road work on state Route 7?

I go through at least four different sets of barrels or cones just going to and from work each day. What the heck?

Are every cone and barrel that the state of Ohio owns right here in Jefferson County? Why can't we finish one job before we start another? Aggravating. I feel like a pinball driving anymore.

Anniversary

My husband and I celebrated our seventh anniversary last weekend. We made dinner on the grill and spent the day together with our son to celebrate. Simple and easy. And there is no place I would rather be than with my boys.

Sleeping

Sleeping is something I am very fond of, but don't get to do nearly as often as I'd like.

Before my son was born, I'd sleep until noon, sometimes later, if I didn't have to be at work. Now, 9 a.m. is sleeping in, if I am lucky.

I rarely get eight hours, especially now that I am pregnant. I can't get comfortable. My legs feel like they are going a hundred miles an hour. I have to use the bathroom.

And the bigger the baby gets, the harder it's going to be to get comfortable.

But to top all that off, last week I had a respiratory infection and had to sleep in the recliner. Needless to say, I slept even less for that entire week. Fun stuff. While I am complaining, I enjoy being pregnant, even all the woes that come with it.
