Creek selling tickets

WINTERSVILLE - Indian Creek High School will sell tickets to Saturday's football game at Bellaire from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday in the high school guidance office. Tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for students. All tickets are $6 at the gate.

Hunter's class to be held

NEW CUMBERLAND - The Hancock County Sportsman's Club will hold a Hunter's Education Class from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Oct. 9-11. All three nights must be attended. Persons born on or after Jan. 1, 1975, must first successfully complete a certified hunter education course before purchasing a hunting license. The course is offered free.

Topics include: gun safety, wildlife management, ethics, survival and first aid, game identification, and how to safely hunt.

FUS nets a loss

BETHANY - The Bethany volleyball team swept visiting Franciscan University of Steubenville 25-15, 25-16, 25-13 Tuesday.

Christina Lawrence and Dani Link had five kills each. Sam Kelly had eight digs and Amy O'Keefe had seven digs.

The Lady Barons (5-7) start conference play at 10 a.m. Saturday when they host an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference tri-match with Medaille and Penn State-Behrend. FUS will take on Medaille at 10 a.m. and Behrend at approximately 4 p.m.
