Brooke County GOP?will hold Reagan dinner Oct. 6

WELLSBURG - The Brooke County Republican Party Executive Committee will hold its annual Reagan Day dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 6 at Wellsburg First Presbyterian Church, 901 Charles St.

Local and state candidates have been invited to appear at the informal "indoor picnic," which will include a buffet chicken dinner.

College admissions to visit school

AVELLA, Pa. - Westminster College admissions staff will be visiting local high schools.

Brad Tokar, dean of admissions and financial aid, will visit Avella High School at noon Wednesday.

Founded in 1852, Westminster is a liberal arts college. Westminster was honored as one of "The Best 377 Colleges" by The Princeton Review, and was named to the President's Honor Roll for excellence in service learning.

Nearly 1,600 undergraduate and graduate students matriculate on the New Wilmington, Pa., campus.
