TORONTO - Jamie Lee Smurda and Corey R. Zahniser were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. on June 8 at St. Francis Roman Catholic Church. The Rev. Thomas Vennitti officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Cathy Smurda of Toronto and the late Daniel Smurda.
The groom is the son of Vicki Zahniser of Toronto and the late Robert Zahniser.

The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Michael Heiss. She wore an ivory ball gown featuring a sweetheart neckline and a pleated wrap bodice with a crystal beaded sash.
Sarah Moses, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Nikki Zahniser, sister of the groom, and Natalie Mousourakis, Andrea Benner, Crystal Cain, Katie Busch and Erika Sloane.
Jay Riley was the best man. Groomsmen were Jason Keffer; Derek Flood; Ricky Daugherty, cousin of the groom; Billy Williams; Matthew Ludewig, cousin of the bride; and Doug Luscko.
Brayden Moses, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer.
A reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Mingo Junction.
The couple graduated from Toronto High School. She is employed at the Tony Teramana Cancer Center in Steubenville. He is employed at Doyal Refrigeration.
