Credit unions host homecoming

WEIRTON - The Weirton-Wellsburg Chapter of Credit Unions hosted a Homecoming Dance for the residents at Serra Village Retirement Center Sept. 27.

Each resident attending the event was given a favor bag, along with a flower or boutonniere. Leroy Park was crowned homecoming king, and Dolores Cooper was crowned queen.

The Weir High School Key Club attended the event and assisted the residents throughout the evening. The credit unions also provided cake and music for the residents.

"It is always a pleasure to come and have events for the residents of Serra Village Retirement Center," said Janet Stagani, chapter president.

"We truly hope the residents walked away with a night to remember."

The Weirton-Wellsburg Chapter consists of Eagle Can Employees Federal Credit Union, First Choice America Community Federal Credit Union, Hancock School Employees Federal Credit Union, Strip Steel Community Federal Credit Union and Tin Mill Community Federal Credit Union.
