Missing woman found
in New York
LANCASTER, N.Y. - A Steubenville woman reported missing since last week has been found in a village in upstate New York.
Steubenville Police Chief Bill McCafferty said Thursday 51-year-old Mitzi Fabros was found in Lancaster, a community of approximately 10,000 residents near Buffalo.
McCafferty said Fabros had been hospitalized in New York and was undergoing a mental evaluation.
Fabros last was seen in Steubenville on Sept. 26 when she dropped her son off at Steubenville High School at 8 a.m. She was driving a blue 2012 Ford Fiesta.
She was reported missing by her sister, police reported.
Police said Fabros suffered from mental illness and was not taking her medication at the time of her disappearance.

East Springfield and all area
side roads on the county

County Roads 26, 28, 30 and
65 (Sunshine Park).
Jefferson, Montwell, Comet,
Spruce, Queensboro, Pemco
and Pembrook roads.
Customers may experience low pressure and some discoloration. It is not recommended that customers wash clothes during this time.

Brilliant Water, Sewer
changes meeting date
BRILLIANT - The Brilliant Water and Sewer District meeting has been changed to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the office at 706 Second St. due to a lack of a quorum.
The meeting had been scheduled for Tuesday.
2013 Relay for Life
to begin planning
STEUBENVILLE - An informational kickoff meeting to begin planning for the Steubenville Area Relay for Life sponsored by the Jefferson County Unit of the American Cancer Society will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in room 2506 at Eastern Gateway Community College.
The meeting will include a relay overview, ACS CAN presentation, theme ideas, a mission moment and updates on upcoming fundraisers.
The meeting is open to anyone interested.
County Veterans to hold picnic Saturday
SMITHFIELD - The Jefferson County Veterans Association will hold its annual picnic at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Friendship Park shelter.
All county veterans, Jefferson County Fair Board members and workers and park board members are invited to attend, according to Commander William Smythe.
Juvenile riding on
vehicle falls
CHILLICOTHE - Police say a juvenile riding on the trunk of a vehicle fell and injured his head in the southern Ohio city where another teen died last month after falling off the hood of a vehicle while "car-surfing."
The incident comes less than two weeks after a 16-year-old boy fell.
