NEW CUMBERLAND - Shayni Vega gave a presentation on her summer trip to Italy during the New Cumberland Lions Club Sept. 25 meeting.
Vega's trip was sponsored by the New Cumberland Lions, and she stayed two weeks with a host family in which both parents were Lions Club members.
Vega also attended a Lions Camp for two and a half weeks at an Italian Lions Camp, during which she traveled to several sites with 44 other exchange students from around the world. She presented President Richard Blackwell with a flag from the youth camp and exchange and a flag from the Cirie, Italy, Lions Club.

Lion Don Greathouse gave the invocation; Lion Brian Webster led the Pledge to the Flag; and the secretary's and treasurer's reports were presented and accepted as read.
Lion Bob Manypenny spoke about the pulled pork fundraiser the Lions held during the New Cumberland Riverfest and added the paper shed needs to be cleaned.
Lion Bob McNeil will lead a road clean-up the second Saturday in October to avoid a conflict with either the Jack Harris Memorial Walk-a-Thon the third Saturday of the month or the last pulled pork fundraiser of the year on the last Saturday of the month.
Perfect attendance pins were presented to all members who attended 20 or more meetings or functions during the 2011-2012 year, with 24 members achieving perfect attendance.
Lion Russ Flanigan made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Lion Arland Lamp.
The next regular meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the New Cumberland City Building.
