WEIRTON - The Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus held their regular monthly meeting Oct. 2 at the knights hall.
President Delores Bengier called the meeting to order and led the group in prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance and Auxiliary Pledge. There were 14 members in attendance, and new member Joann Faulkner was introduced and welcomed. Secretary Mary Longhi called roll and read the previous month's minutes. Treasurer Sondra Pennacchio gave the financial report, and, as social chair, reported all members had signed up for the Christmas party, which will be held Dec. 4 at DeeJay's.
The auxiliary is still collecting tab tops for the Ronald McDonald House Project.
Bengier introduced Grand Knight Stanley Fiedorczyk, who requested the auxiliary make desserts for the annual memorial Mass at 7 p.m. Nov. 5. Nominations for officers were held, and Pauline Smith's October birthday was held. Elinor Straight reminded members the next meeting was on Election Day and urged members to vote.
Kay Dobosky held the 50/50 drawing, which Donna DiAngelis won.
Bengier led the closing prayer. Agnes Watt, Thelma Kittle and Louise Enrietti will be the November hostesses.
