Family Connections is a non-profit, behavioral health and social service agency established in 1976 with sites in Hancock and Brooke counties. The organization is dually licensed by the State of West Virginia and an active member of the West Virginia Child Care Association.
Family Connections is committed to helping individuals function to the best of their abilities by using the resources that exist naturally in the family and community. The organization offers residential group treatment for up to 12 adolescent females at its Brooke Place facility in Colliers. The clinic, located in the Medical Offices Building of Weirton Medical Center, provides individual and family counseling.
Family Connections has begun, in earnest, an educational process whereby their programs and services are becoming more widely known in the communities of Hancock and Brooke counties. Their membership in the Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce provides a vehicle for Family Connections, its employees and clientele to invest in the betterment of the local community. The win-win for Family Connections is growing community support for what they do.
