In addition to her work, the work of other Haworth students, local artists, as well as current art students will be featured.
Dr. Ray S. Greco heads the Museum's Art Committee.
"In the beginning I found 10 to 20 art students inspired by Haworth," Greco said. "Every year we have more people coming to the exhibits stating that they were also encouraged by Haworth. The Museum has a list of nearly 60 artists now."
June was born in Weirton. The main industry at that time was Weirton Steel, an integrated steel maker that employed many area residents.
Early on in her life, however, June started doing sketches of rock artists and other popular figures while still in grade school.
"We are honored to have Dr. Greco as the chairman of our Art Committee who made the connection between Robert Haworth who taught at Weir High School from 1932 to 1969 and many of Weirton's great artists who were his students," stated Dennis Jones, museum executive director
Admission to the exhibition is free and the event is open to the public.
