WINTERSVILLE - Former President Bill Clinton is scheduled to arrive at 2:45 pm. today at Indian Creek High School to make a speech in support of President Barack Obama's re-election.

Tickets were distributed Wednesday in Steubenville, Martins Ferry and Lisbon.

Parking for the event will be held at St. Florian Hall. Shuttle buses will transport people to the high school.

Clinton was scheduled to be Parma earlier today and travel to Wintersville for the event.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department, Wintersville Police and the Ohio State Highway Patrol will be providing security for the event.

Jefferson County Sheriff Fred Abdalla said Clinton's schedule could change at any time.

Classes at the high school and Wintersville Elementary School were to continue today as normal, said John Rocchi, Indian Creek superintendent. He noted vehicle traffic is a problem at the high school and elementary school on a normal day, prompting planners to move the parking for the Clinton event to St. Florian Hall.

This is the second time in four years Clinton has been in Jefferson County. Four years ago he was at Steubenville High School in a campaign stop for his wife, Hillary, when she was running in the Democratic presidential primary.
