Alpha Tau enjoys cooking demo

NEW CUMBERLAND - The Alpha Tau Chapter of West Virginia Alpha Delta Kappa held their October meeting at the Swaney Memorial Library, with President Fran Jones calling the meeting to order.

Chaplain Donna Durkin gave the thought for the day, "Information Please."

Corresponding Secretary Shirley Washam called roll and read communications; Recording Secretary Donna Bohach read the previous meeting's minutes.

Treasurer Stacy Slack gave the financial report, and committee reports were given.

Theresa DeCaria, a local cookbook author who has received five national awards and one international award for "The Table My Mother Set," lead the group in a demonstration of two recipes from her book.

Hostesses Jeanne Barrett, Susan Gracie, Velda Icard and Rita Schmitt gave a special program on the Alpha Delta Kappa sorority founders in celebration of Alpha Delta Kappa Month.

Alpha Delta Kappa Month is celebrated each October, and the international organization is celebrating its 65th anniversary this year.
