Colliers United Methodist to hold annual fall bazaar

COLLIERS - Colliers United Methodist Church is holding its annual fall bazaar and Turkey Dinner from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

A variety of soups and sandwiches, including hot dogs and sloppy joes, will be available to eat in or take out from 10 a.m. to noon. Dinner will be served from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and will include turkey and dressing, whipped potatoes and gravy, green beans, rolls, desserts and drinks.

The price is $8 for adults and teens and $4 for children, ages 7 through 12, with children 6 and under admitted free. Carry-out will be available.

There also will be various tables, including a baked good, white elephant and jewelry sales.

Library offers Halloween crafts

WELLSBURG - The Brooke County Public Library will be offering a Halloween craft class, for ages 9 to adult, Monday at 5:30 p.m.

Participants will make a Halloween wreath using pages from an old book and are asked to bring a glue gun. Children should be accompanied by an adult and feel comfortable using a glue gun. Call (304) 737-1551 to register for the free program.

Library to show comedy of horrors

WELLSBURG -The Brooke County Public Library will show the Tim Burton film, "Dark Shadows," rated PG-13, Tuesday at 1 p.m.

The film stars Johnny Depp as vampire Barnabas Collins,who returns to his ancestral home in the very changed world of 1972, where his dysfunctional descendants are in need of his protection. Call (304) 737-1551 to reserve a seat.
