W.Va. first lady to visit museum

WEIRTON - The Weirton Area Museum and Cultural Center will have a special visitor next week, and a donation will be made to the state museum.

Museum President Dennis Jones announced Friday West Virginia first lady Joanne Tomblin will visit the museum, located at 3149 Main St., at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday.

The public is invited to attend.

Tomblin will tour the museum, which includes displays depicting the history of the Weirton area, from before the establishment of Holliday's Cove to the present.

Jones also said a donation will be made to the West Virginia State Museum in Charleston. The donation will include items reflective of the history of Weirton.
