STEUBENVILLE - Brandi R. Blanton, 33, of 710 Trenton St., the former president of the Red Knights Women's Club, was placed on probation for one year on Tuesday by Jefferson County Common Pleas Judge David Henderson in connection with her taking money from the club.
Blanton pleaded guilty to an amended indictment charging misdemeanor theft. She originally was indicted on felony theft but the charge was reduced by the county prosecutor's office because of her cooperation in the case.
Henderson ordered she make $999 in restitution.

Blanton was set to testify in September against a codefendant, Maureen A. Robins, 37, 211 N. Third St., Toronto, who was indicted on single counts of theft and forgery. But Robins' case was sent back to Toronto county court, where she also pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor theft charge. Robins also was ordered to make restitution in the amount of $999.
Also, Richard T. Bradshaw, 40, of 310 1/2 Summit Ave. was placed on one year of probation by Henderson after Bradshaw pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine. Bradshaw faces up to 12 months in prison if he violates probation.
Gordon Bilderback, 32, of Steubenville was placed on one year of probation after pleading guilty to an amended indictment charging misdemeanor receiving stolen property.
Bilderback was indicted by the county grand jury in July 2006 on a felony count of receiving stolen property. He wasn't found and served a copy of the indictment until September, more than six years later.
He faces up to 180 days in the county jail if he violates probation.
