WEIRTON - The American Legion Post 10 and the Post Auxiliary held a banquet honoring Korean War veterans Oct. 21 at the legion hall.
Auxiliary President Shirley Brecht welcomed and thanked the veterans for their service to the country. Post Commander Vick Folden welcomed the group and gave a short address. Duke Horstemeyer gave the invocation and those attending recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
Nineteen veterans attended the dinner, which was served by the auxiliary. Following dinner, Brecht read a letter from a post Korean War veteran. Vice President Gloria Jerrell gave each veteran a flag pin, and Historian Joan Spano took photos of each veteran.
