Oak Glen wrestling boosters

will meet today at high school

NEW CUMBERLAND - The Oak Glen High School Wrestling Boosters will hold a meeting at 6 p.m. today in the high school library.

Class of '61 meeting today

WEIRTON - The Follansbee High School Class of 1961 will meet at 6 p.m. today at the Three Springs Drive Eat'n Park.

All classmates, spouses and friends are welcome.

Class of '68 holding bake sale

WEIRTON - The Weir High School Class of 1968 will hold a bake sale beginning at 9:30 a.m. today at First Choice Community Credit Union located on Main Street.

Soup, sandwiches and baked goods will be available for purchase.

Kiwanis holding rose sale

WELLSBURG - The Wellsburg Kiwanis Club is holding its annual rose sale.

Bouquets are $15 each and may be ordered by calling (304) 737-0621. A limited number of bouquets will be available when the roses are delivered on Wednesday and Thursday.

Proceeds will go to the Brooke County Salvation Army and community service projects.

Church to sell sandwiches

WELLSBURG - Christ Episcopal Church at 1014 Main St. will be selling roast beef sandwich lunches from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday.

The cost is $6.50, which includes sandwich, chips, beverage and a slice of pumpkin sheet cake. Individual sandwiches are $4.50 each.

Take-out and delivery to local businesses and shut-ins is available by calling (304) 737-3432 after 8:30 a.m. on that day.

MS?support group to meet

WEIRTON - The Weirton-Steubenville Multiple Sclerosis Support group will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Serbian American Cultural Center located on Colliers Way.

The group will discuss its upcoming Christmas party and future plans.

Holiday craft show scheduled

EAST PALESTINE, Ohio - The East Palestine Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual holiday craft show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the East Palestine Elementary School located at 195 W. Grant St.

There will be more than 100 vendors, and items include jewelry, doll clothes, crochet, scarves, country wood crafts, lighted ceramics, hair bows, fleece blankets, embroidered towels, Christmas ornaments, signs, wooden reindeer and snowmen, primitive crafts and decor, benches, tutus, embroidery, stained glass, lawn art, jewelry boxes, plaques, wreaths, table runners, aprons, teddy bears, potholders, snowflake ornaments, wickless warmers and wax, purses, gift baskets, stocking stuffers, ribbon trees, birdhouses, sleds and water globes.

A Chinese auctions will be held, and Santa will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for photographs. Lunch will be available.

Admission and parking are free.

Country Friends holding dance

COLLIERS - The Country Friends Foundation Inc. will host The Sands of Time Saturday at Memorial Hall located at 402 Old Police Lodge Road. The doors open at 6 p.m., and the dance begins at 7 p.m.

The group holds covered-dish dinners and open mic nights each Monday and Friday. The doors open at 4 p.m., the meal begins at 5 p.m. and open mic begins at 6 p.m.

WEIRTON - St. Thomas Episcopal Church will hold a holiday bazaar from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 10 at the church located on Three Springs Drive.

The event will include a luncheon with a choice between two sandwiches and two soups and a drink. Take-out will be available. Crafts and baked goods will be available.

Dinner to benefit train station project

BURGETTSTOWN, Pa. - A dinner to benefit the rehabilitation of the borough train station will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 11 at Walden's Restaurant.

The menu includes a ham barbecue sandwich, rigatoni, red potatoes, salad and a drink.

The cost is $10 for adults and $8 for children.
