Play Day

November 8, 2012
Weirton Daily Times
The Hancock County Museum in New Cumberland hosted a “Play Day at the Museum” Oct. 22, with activities modeled after those that children of the late 1880s would have engaged in, including wearing Victorian-era clothing, having tea, playing chess, stringing popcorn and playing the player piano. Some of those participating were, from left, Joshua, Kaydin and Davon Nicol. Lois Carpini, Shirley Weinberg, Linda McNeil and Vivian Weigle volunteered, and the Top of West Virginia Convention and Visitors Bureau assisted with the event. -- Contributed
