Paul “Bud” Billiard, right, publicity coordinator for the Brooke County Veterans Memorial Foundation, accepted a $1,500 donation from Eric Fithyan, owner of Chambers and James Funeral Homes of Wellsburg and Follansbee. It is among many donations that have enabled the group to establish a park at Brooke Hills Park honoring all Brooke County veterans. A dedication will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the park, but the group continues to accept donations for its maintenance and sponsors for granite pavers to be laid there.
