Santa set to arrive at Fort Steuben Mall

STEUBENVILLE - It's that time of year again, and the Fort Steuben Mall will welcome Santa on Saturday.

Santa will arrive at 2 p.m. and will be ushered in by the Casey Sisters Dance Academy. Digital photos will be available immediately following his arrival. Santa will be at his workshop daily until Dec. 24. His hours are noon to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays; 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays; and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays in November and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays in December.

Special hours for Santa are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 22; 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 20-21; and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 24.

Area children can visit with Santa on Dec. 5 for a gingerbread house decorating party and "The Night Before Christmas" story reading with the jolly fellow from 5 p.m. - 6 p.m. This event is free and open to everyone age 12 and under; however, those wishing to attend should RSVP to customer service no later than Dec. 4 at (740) 264-7781 or

Also, Santa will pose with family pets during the Paws & Claus event planned from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 12.

The annual St. Paul School's Breakfast with Santa is planned from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the mall next to Regis Hair Salon and will feature breakfast from Eat & Park, fingerprinting kits from New York Life, a special craft project and a visit from Santa and a photo.

Space is limited for this event, and reservations must be made and participants must pre-pay in order to attend. The cost is $20 per child, and registration forms are available at (under fundraising tab) or at the mall customer service center. For information, call (304) 748-5225.

Other events Saturday will include a WOGH-FM live broadcast from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the center court area with prizes and giveaways, as well as the JB Green Team free ornament making project from noon to 1 p.m. There will be a free ornament making craft just off of center court for the first 100 kids beginning at noon. And the Casey Sisters Dance Academy's annual holiday performance will be at 1:30 p.m.
