NAZAR, Eleanor R., 68, of Arlington, Texas, a former Weirton resident, passed away Sunday, November 11 at 7 a.m. in the Arlington Memorial Hospital Hospice Unit in Arlington, Texas after a lengthy illness.
She was born November 7, 1944, in Steubenville, Ohio, daughter of the late Mitat and Make Nazar of Weirton, West Virginia.
A graduate of Follansbee High School, Follansbee, West Virginia, and Fairmont State College, Fairmont, West Virginia, she was an employee of the Brooke County Welfare Department as a social worker before leaving the area. She retired November 7, 2009, from AT&T as an operator in customer information services.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Doke Nazar (I), and Doke (Duke) Nazar (II); and her life companion of more than 20 years, Thomas Hall.
She is survived by a brother, Daniel H. Nazar of Weirton, West Virginia; two sisters, Mrs. Maya Myers Dobro of Weirton, West Virginia, and Mrs. Bill (Dorothy) Jernigan of North Richland Hills, Texas; a nephew, Douglas M. Nazar of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania; three nieces, Mrs. George (Nicole) Fekaris of Weirton, West Virginia, Jessica Jernigan of Austin, Texas, Jasmine Jernigan of North Richland Hills, Texas; one grand-nephew, Elias George Fekaris; and two grand-nieces, Sophia and Faith Fekaris, all of Weirton, West Virginia.
