At a recent meeting of the Heather Twig of the Trinity Health System Auxiliary, a check for $,9000 was presented to Keith Murdock, Trinity's director of community relations and foundation director.
The money will go to pay off a pledge at the YMCA Wellness Center at St. John Arena.
In addition to the check presentation, the Twig voted to reorganize and become affiliated with the Trinity Health System Foundation.
Members also voted to earmark proceeds from next year's March 1 wine-tasting event to be held at the Steubenville Country Club to go to support the new state-of-the-art breast health services equipment recently acquired by Trinity Health System. There is only one other location in the United States that has the advanced system that can view the skin layer by layer.
Involved in the check presentation were Twig members Pam Peterson, immediate past president; Cerryn Marshall, president-elect; Melissa Carapellotti, immediate past president; Murdock; Lori Sullivan, treasurer; Theresa O'Brien, secretary; and Elena Crisante, president-elect.
