WEIRTON - Moving On held its monthly luncheon and meeting Nov. 11 at Undo's with President Norma Boni presiding.
She opened the meeting with singing of "God Bless America" and reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance. Christine Brown gave a reading, "An American Will Fight For His Freedom," in honor of Veterans Day. Jack Davis gave the blessing.
Carol Zagula attended as a guest. Veterans, birthdays and ill members were acknowledged. Brown, Steve Ornowski, Cecelia Arrico, Joe Povach, Jim Boulson, Ruth Jackson, Fred Vogt and Martha White donated fall flowers to decorate the tables.
Accordionist Rick Pastre of Smithfield, Ohio, entertained with popular music, patriotic songs and requests.
Lucretia "Toots" Ross gave the secretary's report, and Margaret Chapman the treasurer's report. Chapman and Katy Roshac prepared a new directory and gave a copy to each member.
David Kramarich and Madeline Michael conducted the 50/50 drawing, which was won by Marcia Bishop. Eleanor Cooper, Julie Coughlin, Martha Wright, Becky Michalka, Mary Ann Kramer, Richard Wiley and June Puskarich won table prizes. Nick Rodriguez and Davis won Undo's gift certificates. Helen Parrish, Pat Prosperi and Boni also won gifts. Richard Kimmel won the Expert Tire gift card.
Jack Davis concluded the meeting with a closing prayer.
The next meeting will be held Dec. 9 at Undo's with Thomas Graham as the entertainer. Members were reminded to bring a Christmas card with a lottery ticket enclosed.
