Spport annual fundraiser

December 4, 2012
Weirton Daily Times

Eat 'n Park in Weirton is, once again, working to help raise money for Children's Hospital Charities, and we hope our residents will show their support.

The Caring for Kids campaign has been going on for the last few weeks company-wide, but Weirton's restaurant has its premier event coming up on Wednesday.

The annual Tips for Tots event will take place 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Weirton location, including special guest servers and other events.

Guest servers will include local government officials, business leaders, police and firefighters, as well as other local "celebrities." They will be working side-by-side with the restaurant's staff, helping to add that extra special touch.

The important thing to remember is, during this event, all tips or donations collected at the Weirton restaurant go toward the campaign. Caring for Kids has been held by the Eat 'n Park company for more than 30 years, providing money to Children's Hospitals across the country to help brighten the lives of children in the care of these facilities. This time of year especially, in the midst of the holiday season, these kids can use a little extra cheering up, and we're glad such an effort is made each year.

We urge our residents to find some way to show their support for this wonderful cause.

Whether you want to go in and have a meal or stop by for a take-out order, we hope you will consider stopping by the Weirton Eat 'n Park location Wednesday. Check out some of the entertainment they have lined up, or take a look at a few of the special drawings to help with the fundraiser.

It is always a great event, supported by the residents and businesses of our area and helping to make the Weirton restaurant one of the biggest fundraisers of the campaign each year.

We wish our local Eat 'n Park, as well as the entire company, the best of luck with this year's Caring for Kids campaign and are sure it will make a big difference for a lot of children.
