Toriseva said the committee plans to meet to consider the resumes either Dec. 20 or Dec. 21 at the Brooke County Library.

The committee has 15 days from Dec. 11 to recommend three candidates for the 1st District seat previously held by now Ohio County Commissioner-elect Orphy Klempa and submit them to Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin. Klempa resigned his state Senate seat earlier this week, and his term expires at the end of 2014.
