Weirton Daily Times
A total of 3,176 canned goods and other nonperishable food were collected for the Follansbee R.E.A.C.H. Program through a schoolwide effort led by the Brooke High School Student Council; Carla Stone, the council's faculty adviser; and Toni Shute, the school's principal. Shute offered her parking space in front of the school to the student who collected the most items. The drive was in connection with the Follansbee Chamber of Commerce's Make a Difference Day observance, and the food was delivered to the food pantry's new location at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Follansbee. Among the many involved were, front, from left, council President Juliet Casinelli; Shute; Heath Hildreth; Austin Schambach; Lacey Lee; Emma Simon; J.J. Bennett; chamber Vice President John D'Aurora; and chamber President Tony Paesano; and back, Eric Johnson, Ben Rogers, Ryan Heaton, Hunter Wallace, Natalie Fowler, Alec Buchmelter and Jessie Gambellin. -- Contributed
