Catholic Daughters hold their annual Christmas party

WEIRTON - Court Bishop McDonnell of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas members held their annual Christmas party at Undo's Restaurant.

Regent Marge Trinone welcomed members and guests, and the Rev. Manuel Gelido offered a Christmas blessing and grace before the meal. Eleanor Davis provided the centerpieces and table decorations.

Following dinner, Dorothy Skrab led the group in the "Wright Christmas" gift exchange game and a sing-along. Members presenting ethnic Christmas carols were: Edna Battista, Italian; Irene and Ed Kopec, Polish; and Mary Jane Hunt, Japanese.

Trinone conducted the annual charity fundraiser prize drawing. Jo Anne Barnabei won the West Virginia University blanket; Brenda Casey won the WVU tote, umbrella and hat; and Helen Wudarsky won men's and women's leather wallets. A social hour followed with donated Christmas cookies and door prizes awarded.

Members are reminded to submit dues for the coming year and to keep in touch with homebound members.
