WINTESVILLE - The Indian Creek girls basketball team sent visiting St. Clairsville home disappointed Thursday, claiming a 45-37 victory.

Bre Berryman led the way for Indian Creek with 18 points. Kiarra Kamarec joined her in double-figures with 14 on the evening. Brooke Mains scored seven in support.

Indian Creek (6-4) travels to Edison Monday.

Wildcats lose to Ferry

RICHMOND - The Edison girls basketball team dropped a 59-37 decision to visiting Martins Ferry Thursday.

Molly McCoy had a strong game in defeat for the Wildcats, scoring 18 points. Kayli Stewart and Lynsey Morrison scored five and four points respectively in support.

Edison hosts Indian Creek Monday.

Big Red downs Brooke

WELLSBURG - The Steubenville girls basketball team slipped past a game Brooke squad, 50-45, Thursday at the Brooke Athletic Complex.

Emiley Masloski struck for 18 points for Big Red with Mytia Barker adding 10.

The Bruins' Angela Staffileno led all scorers with a 30-point effort.

Steubenville (9-1) heads to Harrison Central Saturday where the J.V. game tips off at 2 p.m. Brooke hosts University today.

Huskies fall to Jets

CADIZ - The Harrison Central girls basketball team fell to visiting Union Local, 66-43, Thursday.

Kara Dunfee led the Huskies with 15 points. Shannon Compher added 10 points.

Harrison Central hosts Steubenville Saturday. The J.V. game begins at 2 p.m.

Panthers fall to Big Reds

BELLAIRE - The Buckeye Local girls basketball team took a 59-40 road loss to Bellaire Thursday.

Kayla Fillipovich led the Panthers with seven points. Amy Balk, Kierstyn Czuchran, Karlee Leonard and Becky Zeroski each scored six.

Buckeye Local travels to Harrison Central Monday.

Toronto drops close one

WELLSVILLE - The Toronto girls basketball team dropped a 60-56 decision at Wellsville Thursday despite strong outing from Lexie Berger and Lindsay Bodnar.

Berger lit the Tigers up for 23 points, including knocking down a quartet of three-pointers. Bodnar chopped in with a 16-point effort.

The Red Knights travel to East Richland Christian Monday.
