A Chronic Disease Self-Management Workshop will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in New Cumberland from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. beginning Jan. 23.
The workshop will meet once a week for six weeks.

Free concert at
Contemporary Christian band Led By Mercy will host a free concert from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. today at the Mercy Baptist Church located at 3474 Pennsylvania Ave., Weirton.
Mercy Me, Casting Crowns, Matt Redman, Jeremy Camp, Building 429 and Chris Tomlin also will perform.
Refreshments will be served.

A candlelight prayer service for Newtown, Conn., Sandy Hook Elementary School and "peace in our world" will be observed on Monday beginning at 7 p.m. at the Jewett United Methodist Church located 202 W. Main St., Jewett.
Pastor Mark Statler and Pastor Hester Hudson will coordinate "this time of scripture reading, music and prayer," according to a news release.
"Everyone is invited to join in prayer for the healing of the victims of violence and for the coming of world peace," the press release notes.
Dinner Jan. 16

A baked steak dinner will be held in the Hill Top Fellowship Hall at 70 county Road 46 and the intersection of state Route 213, Toronto, on Jan. 16 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The menu will be baked steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad bar, homemade pie, and hot and cold beverages.
Patrons can eat in but carryout also will be available.

Brother Doug Snyder will deliver the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service as the guest minister at Port Homer Community Church, 2545 co. Road 68, Toronto.
His sermon title will be "What America Needs."
Snyder is an evangelist for People for Jesus Ministries, which he founded in 1996.
