LaQuan Jones, Weirton, waived preliminary hearing. Charges of malicious assault and robbery (two counts) removed to Hancock County Circuit Court.

Jan. 2

James Fulton, Weirton, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence (non-aggravated). Jail sentence of five days converted to 40 hours' community service. Fined $500 and assessed court costs. Citation for right side of roadway violation dismissed at prosecutor's request.

Bryon Gallegos, Weirton, registration violation dismissed at prosecutor's request.

Joshua Glasure, Weirton, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license (DUI). Sentence of 30 days in jail suspended. Placed on seven months' unsupervised probation. Fined $250 and assessed court costs and a $35 probation fee.

Jan. 3

Robert Grimes Jr., Colliers, pleaded guilty to domestic battery. Sentenced to 60 days in jail, with credit for 15 days served and the remaining 45 days suspended. Placed on one year unsupervised probation, with Global Positioning System. Fined and assessed court costs and probation fee.

Michael Howard II, East Liverpool, charge of breaking and entering (other than a dwelling) dismissed without prejudice at prosecutor's request. Charge of obstructing an officer dismissed with prejudice at prosecutor's request.

Jan. 4

Travis Lucius, Canton, Ohio, pleaded guilty to obtaining money, property and services by false pretenses. Sentenced to 48 hours in jail, with credit for time served. Assessed court costs. Must pay $130 in restitution. Charge of defrauding a West Virginia lottery table game dismissed at prosecutor's request.

James Littell, New Manchester, charges of malicious assault and domestic battery dismissed without prejudice at prosecutor's request.
