Weirton Baseball Association
WEIRTON - The Weirton Baseball Association will hold its 2013 baseball and softball registration information from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 2, 9 and 16 at the Millsop Community Center.
The cost is $70 per player and $140 maximum per family. Those registering Feb. 2 will receive an early registration discount, paying $60 per player and $120 maximum per family.

NEW CUMBERLAND - The West Virginia University Extension Hancock County Service Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 7 at the Municipal Building.

Dinner-theater to benefit 4-H
WELLSBURG - A dinner-theater show featuring Mystery Theatre Unlimited and benefiting Brooke County 4-H will be held Feb. 9 at Staffileno's on the River.
Known for comic whodunnits inspired by pop culture, the group will present "Mission Unpossible." Set in December 1969, the play involves a dastardly villain determined to set off a dangerous device that will end the free-love spirit of the 1960s and set into motion a cultural disaster: the 1970s! Will the spymasters of the Unpossible Mission Force be able to stop him?
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and tickets are $30 each. Adults 18 and older only will be admitted.

Alpha Tau meets
NEW CUMBERLAND- The Alpha Tau Chapter of West Virginia Alpha Delta Kappa held their February meeting at the Swaney Memorial Library.
President Fran Jones called the meeting to order. Chaplain Donna Durkin gave the Thought of the Day. Corresponding Secretary Shirley Washam called roll and read correspondence. Recording Secretary Donna Bohach distributed the minutes, which were approved. Kathy Griffith gave the treasurer's report. Committee reports were given.
Sheri Marsella, Zumba instructor, led a fitness activity.
Karen Oyster, Michelle Bernardi, Michelle Turner and Debby Churella were hostesses.
