Two Brooke County 4-H shooting sports teams competed in the Wayne County 4-H Air Rifle Invitational, their first competition, on Jan. 5 in Wayne County. The junior team finished with a score of 322, while the senior team had a score of 310. Participants included, from left: Dante Johnson, Alicia Sims, Garrett Finsley, Kate James and Devin Kniszek; and back: chaperones Alecia Staats and Matt Stromeyer and coach Sean Smith. The team participate in three disciplines: air rifle, instructed by Smith; archery, instructed by Staats and Stephanie Lyons; and air pistol, instructed by Stromeyer and Randy Yost.
