Emma May Lilley

LILLEY, Emma May (McLaughlin), 90, of Wellsburg, WV, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, February 10, 2013, at Mary Ann Manor, Follansbee, WV.

Emma was born on November 16, 1922, in Sandyville, WV. She was the daughter of the late Otis and Mary McLaughlin Beegle.

Emma helped to manufacture oil cans at Eagle Manufacturing, Wellsburg, WV. She was a life-member of the Salvation Army, Wellsburg, WV, where she volunteered for over 25 years. Emma served in the Army of God; but most of all, she loved her dear family.

In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her husband, Joshua Lilley in 1979, a sister, Violet Adams; a brother, George McLaughlin; and a daughter-in-law, Velma McLaughlin.

Emma is survived by a son, Lawrence McLaughlin of Wellsburg, WV; two daughters, Joann Hartzell of Wellsburg, WV, and Joyce (James) Craft of Colliers, WV; eight grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren, and two great- great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and again on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at the James Funeral Home, 1245 Main St., Follansbee, (304) 527- 1717, with Majors John and Dianna Blevins of the Wheeling Salvation Army, officiating.

Interment will follow at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom, WV.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staffs at Mary Ann Manor and Amedisys Hospice for their unending love and continuous support of Emma and her family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 401 Commerce St., Wellsburg, WV 26070.
