NEW CUMBERLAND - The Oak Glen Middle School Culture Club is selling tickets for the group's next two sponsored concerts.
Michigan-based bluegrass band Lindsay Lou and the Flatbellys will perform at 7 p.m. March 19 at the school. The band is part of the progressive roots music movement, incorporating swing and jazz elements into traditional bluegrass. The band includes Lindsay Lou Rilko, vocalist, guitarist and banjo player; Joshua Rilko, vocalist and mandolinist; Mark Lavengood, resophonic guitarist and vocalist; and Spencer Cain, upright bassist and vocalist. Their most recent release is "Release Your Shrouds."
The concert also will featured local acoustic artists Doug and Dave as the opening act, and a preview of the Culture Club Players' spring musical.
Advance tickets are $5 for students and $8 for adults.
All seats are $10 at the door.
Tickets also are on sale for the performance of the Glenn Miller Orchestra April 16. The Oak Glen High School Jazz Ensemble will be the opening act.
Tickets are $21 in advance, and $24 at the door.
