To the editor:
While I was walking by the old hospital Monday afternoon, without realizing it, I had lost my wallet, and it wasn't until the next day when I had stopped at Wal-Mart that I noticed my wallet was missing.
I rushed home and checked everywhere, but I couldn't find it. As I was leaving to check the car, a police car pulled up. By that time, I was next to my car, and the police officer called me by name and told me someone had found my wallet and turned it in to the police station.
This was such a great relief, because I thought that not only had I lost my money, but I had lost my credit cards and everything in the wallet.
I want to thank the person who found the wallet and, especially, the police officer who returned it to me so quickly.
