ARENO, Frank R., 73, of Empire, Ohio, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013, at his home.
He was born October 9, 1939, in Steubenville, Ohio, a son of the late Louis and Mary (Griffo) Areno.
Frank served his country during Vietnam in the United States Army as a sharpshooter.
Frank retired from AEP.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy (Bailey) Areno; brother, Joseph (Patti) Areno of Gilbert, AZ; sister, Catherine (Jim) Hatzioannou of Ikaria, Greece; he was a father figure to Anthony Bailey (Sarah Thompson) of Knoxville, Becca, Helenmarie, and Troy Smith, Jr.
Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Road, Wintersville, on Tuesday, from 11 a.m. until time of funeral services at 2 p.m. with Pastor Frank Hudson officiating. His final resting place will be at National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville. at the convenience of the family.
