WEIRTON - The Greater Weirton Area Senior Center has announced activities for March.
Dime bingo is held at 10 a.m. every Friday. The Laurels of Steubenville employees will be assisting with dime bingo and hand out door prizes today.
Friday night bingo is held every week, with the doors opening at 5 p.m., early bird starting at 6:30 p.m. and regular game starting at 7 p.m. Packets are $25. Door prizes are distributed the last Friday of each month.
Quarter bingo will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday.
A six-week class on diabetes will be held every Monday, the first class will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Monday. Those interested in taking the class should call the senior center. Seniors are invited to play 31 cards at 12:30 p.m. every Monday. Those who don't know how to play will be taught.
A Brightwood instructor will give a lecture on safety and fall prevention at noon Thursday. The Sands of Time will perform from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday at the center. There is a $5 cover charge, which includes punch, coffee and hot dogs.
Carriage House employees will assist with dime bingo and hand out door prizes at 10 a.m. March 8.
A food handlers class will be held at 10 a.m. March 11 at the center.
Carriage House employees will host a corn toss tournament and hand out door prizes at 10 a.m. March 13.
Breakfast with the Easter Bunny will be held from 9 a.m. to noon March 16. The meal will include pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee. Photos will be taken. The cost is $5 per person. All ages are welcome.
Light Touch will perform from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. March 21 at the center. There is a $5 cover charge, which includes punch, coffee and hot dogs.
The "Spring Fling" craft show will be held March 23. Crafters and vendors are needed. Call the center for information or to book a table.
A bake sale will be held March 28, and anyone interested in baking for the event is asked to contact the senior center.
