WEIRTON - Spring is just around the corner, and that can mean only one thing in the Upper Ohio Valley.
Preparations are being made for the fourth-annual Tri-State Home and Garden Show, set to take place March 15-17 at the Serbian American Cultural Center in Weirton.
Sponsored by Weirton Medical Center, DeNoon Lumber and Panhandle Cleaning and Restoration, the event is organized each year by Beyond Marketing with cooperation from the Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce and Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce.
The annual event provides an opportunity for approximately 80 local businesses and organizations to showcase their products and services to more than 5,000 patrons throughout the weekend.
According to Rob Vandine of Beyond Marketing, there are about a dozen booths remaining for those interested in taking part in this year's show.
The event will kick off at 4 p.m. March 15 with a Business After Hours limited to members of the two local chambers of commerce. The show will then continue until 8 p.m.
The Tri-State Home and Garden Show will take place 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. March 15; 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 16; and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 17 at the Serbian American Cultural Center in Weirton.
It will continue from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 16 and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 17.
According to Vandine, this year's Tri-State Home and Garden Show also will include live demonstrations by some of the participating vendors, ranging from gardening tips to installation of hardwood flooring.
