Mary H. Weir Public Library to host Dr. Seuss celebration

WEIRTON - The Mary H. Weir Public Library, located at 3442 Main St., will hold a Dr. Seuss' birthday celebration from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. today in the library's activity room.

Children from pre-kindergarten through the fourth grade are invited to attend the event, which will include cake, door prizes and a special presentation by Maryann Ehle, West Liberty University professor emertia. The event is free and open to the public.

Church to hold 3-D service

FOLLANSBEE - The Hooverson Heights Church of Christ will begin the "Just Walk Across the Room" series, focusing on living a "3-D life," during the 10:45 a.m. Sunday service at the church located at 102 Church Ave.

The church will distribute 3-D glasses so those attending may view 3-D video clips while the "3-Ds" of sharing faith - developing friendships, discovering stories and discerning the best path to Jesus - are discussed. For information, visit the website at

Senior center to host Easter Bunny

WEIRTON - The Greater Weirton Senior Center will host "Breakfast With the Easter Bunny" from 9 a.m. to noon March 16 at the center located on Main Street.

The cost is $5, which includes pancakes, sausage, juice, coffee and a picture with the Easter Bunny.
